at the Olympic Village Inn
Ownership is forever (just like your home). The Olympic Village Inn is a fee-simple, deeded Fractional Ownership (Shared Ownership) resort, located in Squaw Valley, California. The resort consists of 90 one-bedroom suites located on approximately 4-1/2 acres. Each suite sleeps four people and is equipped with kitchenette facilities.
Fractional Ownership shares are available in five sizes; a 1/26th share (two weeks use per year), a 1/17th share (three weeks use per year), a 1/13th share (four weeks use per year), a 1/6th share (eight weeks use per year) and a 1/4th share (12 weeks use per year). A week consists of seven nights use, Sunday to Sunday. There are three different seasons which can be owned; Winter, Summer, and Fall/Spring combined. Fractional Ownerships can be structured as; multiple weeks in one season, or weeks in two or three seasons. At the time of purchase owners select within which season(s) they own their time. Owners can request a reservation for any week(s) they wish within the season(s) they own and may also request specific floors or suites within the unit type they own. (There are some restrictions on holidays). Owners can call as early as one year plus 320 days ahead of the time they wish to reserve, and may cancel with as little as a 72 hour notice. Owners may use any given week as seven nights in a row, or split a week into one three-night stay and one four-night stay within the same season they own. If an owner owns multiple weeks within the same season, he can book multiple units at the same.
"Bonus Time" allows an owner to rent unlimited additional time at this resort, on a space available basis, over and above their weeks of ownership. The rates are $55-$75/night per suite depending on the season. Reservations can be made for "Bonus Time" as much as 17 days in advance. “Resortime”® is also available. “Resortime”® is similar to "Bonus Time" and is available at over 200 other affiliated resorts. Prices and reservation procedures for “Resortime”® vary from resort to resort.
Fractional Ownership is flexible. You may use, give, rent, sell, trade or share your ownership, and you can accrue and/or borrow time through an exchange network. The Olympic Village Inn is affiliated with 10 different exchange networks. This allows owners to exchange a use week, or weeks, at the Olympic Village Inn during any given year and trade to over 4,000+ affiliated resorts in nearly 80 countries world wide. An exchange fee averaging $169 per week exchanged is paid to the exchange network for providing this exchange service. Membership in an exchange network is optional.
The Olympic Village Inn collects yearly Home Owners Association dues from the owners to pay all resort costs (i.e., electric, gas, gardening, snowplowing, housekeeping, insurance, reserves, replacement funds, etc.). This money operates the resort and maintains its superior quality level.
The New Village at Squaw Valley, by Intrawest is just a short walk from the Olympic Village Inn. This pedestrian village now boasts approximately 30 new commercial establishments (restaurants, shops, and galleries) and 290 wholly-owned condominium units above.
